Winter 2025 will be cozy! We're focusing on warm colors like brown and beige, comforting winter recipes, and practical kitchen gadgets that will make every cookie recipe a success! Here are our absolute must-haves for winter cooking and a little inspiration on how to decorate your cozy kitchen for winter.
Must-Haves for the Winter Kitchen
Whether it's useful baking gadgets, kitchen lamps, or beautiful serving dishes – the perfect winter kitchen doesn't need high-end equipment, but rather well-designed kitchen helpers that make everyday cooking and baking in winter easier, cozier, and a little bit more magical. These must-haves will help!
#1 - Roasting Pan
The roasting pan is the heart of winter cooking! It makes preparing typical winter recipes like braised dishes and stews a breeze, with maximum flavor. The robust material ensures even heat distribution and retention – perfect for simmering a beef ragout gently for hours, for example. At the same time, this beautiful Miele roasting pan looks so good it can go straight from the oven to the table.
Our tip: Get the matching lid too!
#2 - Steam Oven
A true game-changer for healthy cooking even in winter: The steam oven, which cooks food particularly gently, keeping it moist and flavorful. The steam function prevents dishes from drying out. Furthermore, vitamins, minerals, and aromas are better preserved than with conventional baking methods.

#3 - Kettle & Boiling Water Tap
Winter is the time for hot tea and hot soups. That's why the perfect winter kitchen needs a system for boiling water. Ideally, a kettle with temperature control, like the KLF04 from Smeg in a retro look. Green tea, herbal tea, hot lemon, or punch are prepared at the optimal temperature and therefore taste even more aromatic.
Also very practical: The 3-in-1 tap from Quooker, with which you always have 100°C boiling water ready - without any waiting time.
#4 - Kitchen Helpers for Baking
For Christmas cookies, stollen, or gingerbread – winter is peak baking season. Therefore, winter kitchens need some kitchen helpers for stirring, mixing, blending, and chopping dough! Our favorite, which can do it all: The Smeg Retro Food Processor. Naturally, it comes in festive Christmas red, perfect for the season.
#5 - The Right Kitchen Lighting
As the days grow shorter and darker, we need more light in the kitchen. Now is the time to choose the rightkitchen lighting or to replace your existing kitchen lights. The ideal kitchen light emits a neutral white light of approximately 3,300–5,300 Kelvin. In addition to the ambient light, we recommend well-lit work surfaces (under-cabinet lights, spotlights, LED strips, etc.) and cozy accent lighting above the dining table in the kitchen at around 2,700–3,000 Kelvin.
Our highlight for modern kitchen lights:The Novy lights with gesture control. They can be adjusted in color and brightness with a simple hand movement. No light switch needs to be flipped.
Trend Colors in Winter 2025
Whether it's an earthy brown, delicate neutrals like Beige and light gray, or statement colors like Shadow Mauve (a dark purple) or Cherry Red - the trend colors in winter 2025 all symbolize the warmth and glamour of the cold season. Prime examples: The Miele Pearl Beige collection with oven and more, as well as the retro kitchen appliances from Smeg in vibrant red.
