Efficient and very quiet. The blower, chimney, and hood body are equipped with special insulation mats and effectively insulated. This allows for normal conversation even at high air performance levels.

In hoods with edge extraction, the technically appealing metal grease filters are hidden behind a decorative cover. Cooking vapors are drawn in at the outer edges, and in hoods with multi-zone edge extraction, also from the central area of the hoods.

The automatic fan after-run ensures thorough extraction of steam and odors that may linger in the air after cooking. The hood will automatically turn off after either 5 or 15 minutes, depending on your selection.
Filter Indicator
Keep Track of Usage Duration Easily
When the grease or activated carbon filter in your Miele hood is saturated, it will be indicated by a red LED light. This means that the filter should be cleaned or replaced as soon as possible. You can customize the preset usage duration of the filters: the grease filter cleaning indicator can be programmed for 20, 30, 40, or 50 hours, while the activated carbon filter replacement indicator can be set for 120, 180, or 240 hours.
