What is B-stock?

If a device is not perfect, it is referred to as B-stock. It does not matter whether the product itself has a defect or just the packaging is damaged. If it no longer meets the quality criteria of "new", the item is referred to as B-stock. This includes, for example, a refrigerator with paint damage or a dishwasher with a dent.

This is how you get B-stock kitchen appliances

That's why we also sell branded appliances with cosmetic defects in our shop. And at a special price. The relevant article page describes exactly what defects the goods have. Photos of the damaged areas also give an additional impression of the condition of the goods. This way, you as the buyer know exactly what condition the second-hand product is in. So you won't get a nasty surprise when the B-stock arrives.

The goods are delivered depending on the size of the product. Small appliances are delivered by DHL as usual. For large appliances such as a B-stock dishwasher, delivery is made by a 1-man service to the curb. This can take a few days longer than our standard shipping. You can find more information about shipping and delivery here.

3 reasons why you should buy second choice kitchen appliances

Second choice goods, such as used goods and returns, are in most cases still fully functional. Often they only have scratches and dents due to transport damage or similar, which may not even be visible. For example, with a built-in refrigerator, the damaged side of which is in a niche anyway. The function and quality of the goods are therefore not affected.

#1 - Cosmetic flaws are often only visible

Second-hand appliances in our shop often only have minor cosmetic flaws on the outside; their functionality is usually unaffected. Sometimes, only the original packaging is damaged, while the kitchen appliance itself is in perfect working order.

#2 - Reduce Waste

Have you ever wondered: What actually happens to the products in online stores that are tried out and then returned? They are often disposed of because they don't meet the required standards. Buying inexpensive used goods and returns can therefore not only save you money, but also help the environment and reduce waste.

#3 - Luxury Brands on Sale

Returns occur in every price category – from budget entry-level models to premium products. With a little luck, you might even find exclusive luxury brands on sale.

#4 - Top Brands Up to 70% Cheaper

As B-stock, you get top brands up to 70% cheaper than the usual price. Because of a minor cosmetic flaw, the second-choice refrigerator is offered at a special price, while the A-product is significantly more expensive. So you can find some great bargains. In the B-stock sale, kitchen appliances are often even cheaper than during special offers, such as Black Friday.

3 reasons why B-stock occurs in the first place

Wouldn't it therefore make sense to completely avoid returns and waste in online retail? Probably yes. Unfortunately, this plan is difficult to implement in reality.

1. High quality standards

When purchasing new goods

When you buy something for your home, you understandably place a lot of value on the quality of the products. Of course, this often comes at a price. And this price has to be justified. So if you spend money on something, the product has to arrive flawless. Unfortunately, this is not always the case.

2. Material and transport damage

Due to delivery or production

Despite the high quality promise, the high-quality branded device can have small defects. Be it due to a machine error that results in a scratch in the paintwork. Be it due to a stressed supplier who is careless for a moment. Or even just due to a pothole on the road that is in the wrong place. These and other reasons can cause damage to the goods and thus increase the number of returns.

3. Other expectations

The product does not meet expectations

In addition to damage to the goods, it could also simply be that I don't like the product. Unfortunately, I only noticed this after I unpacked it. Or the goods are not suitable for the intended use. This happens, for example, with telescopic pull-outs for ovens. There are different sizes and widths that do not fit universally. However, they have one thing in common: the goods are returned and later sold as B-stock.
